Computer Technology Department Computer Programming Program
General Information
The Computer Programming Program offers a two-year vocational education opportunity covering the basics of computer science education and aims to train intermediate personnel needed by the industry on information technologies.
During the education period, students are offered courses with up-to-date content in many subjects they may need in software and hardware projects, such as algorithm development, basic programming techniques, mobile application development, application development integrated with the internet, training of graphic and design tools, network systems, system analysis and design. It is a 2-year associate degree program consisting of 120 ECTS credits in 4 semesters, 30 ECTS in each semester. A 14-week curriculum is applied in each semester. It has a quota of 60 for normal education and 45 for secondary education. Each student must complete an industry-based training internship covering 30 workdays.

To be a department with the qualifications required by Vocational and Technical Education, which has a high standard, modern, environmentalist, innovative, participative, has preferred by the business world, with the infrastructure that will provide the training of qualified and high-quality manpower, that can adapt to evolving technologies by following the innovations, and being powerful in the provision of human resources.

To raise individuals Equipped with scientific and technological infrastructure, equipped with qualified, theoretical and practical information needed by the computer industry, can think universally, innovative, participative, that has a broad perspective, able to associate existing and developing technologies, have personal and social responsibility, and establish and manage their own business when necessary, with professional competence and self-confidence.
Goal
To provide education to students who want to work in the field of informatics or to train themselves on these topics. To train technical support personnel with sufficient knowledge and skills to meet the rapidly changing needs of today in the field of computer technologies.
Aim
To train graduates with a bachelor's degree, who has received the information needed by technological developments, gained the ability to apply, has knowledge of algorithms generation and program development, knows the hardware, knows and uses network systems, has master knowledge of office and graphics programs, has the knowledge and skills to solve professional problems, that can follow the changing technological developments
Facilities of the program
There are three computer laboratories in our department. Each laboratory has 40 computers with up-to-date hardware. With a total of 120 computers, our department provides the necessary facilities for practical courses.
