Organic Agriculture Program
General Information
The department was established in the 2008-2009 academic year under the vocational school.
In the Organic Agriculture Program, technicians are trained for the production, processing, storage and marketing of vegetable and animal products and inputs to be used in organic agriculture for employment in the public or private sector.
Organic agriculture program is a 2-year associate degree program consisting of 120 ECTS credits for 4 semesters, 30 ECTS each semester. Cultural, vocational, theoretical and applied courses are grouped as compulsory and elective. In addition to the courses, each student must complete an internship with an agriculture-based education covering at least 30 working days.
Mission
The mission of the program is to be a part in the provision of human resources which has the infrastructure to provide the equipped, environmentalist, innovative, sharing, qualified and qualified manpower required by agricultural production and can follow the innovations and adapt to developing technologies
Vizyon : Programın vizyonu, organik tarım eğitiminde güçlü bir mesleki ve teknik eğitim altyapısına sahip, ulusal ve uluslararası düzeyde saygın ve tercih edilen bir eğitim ve araştırma kurumu olmaktır. Bu kısmın türkçesini değiştirdim.
Vision
The vision of the program is to become a nationally and internationally respected and preferred educational and research institution with a strong professional and technical education infrastructure in organic agriculture education.
Purposes
The purpose of the program is to carry out educational activities that enable students who are trained in the Program to be brought to life as individuals operating with an awareness of sensitivity to the environment and living things.
Goals
The aim of the program is to train agricultural technicians who are interested in crop and animal production with having a careful and responsible examination, research curiosity and who are well-organized and are able to work in accordance with the rules, and can produce solutions with analytical thinking.
Program Opportunities
In addition to modern theoretical education tools, there is an equipped laboratory and a plastic tunnel greenhouse which allows agricultural practices.
Program Profile
In the program, there is a technical infrastructure that enables the basic principles of organic production and theoretical and practical demonstration of production processes.

Employment Opportunities
Graduates of Organic Agriculture Program can work in public institutions and organizations (Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, provincial and district directorates, research institutes, municipalities), agricultural cooperatives for agricultural purposes (Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, agricultural sales cooperatives, and agricultural development cooperatives) and private companies. He can set up his own businesses.
Higher Education Opportunities
Students who have successfully completed their associate degree education have the opportunity to continue to higher education. Graduates who enter DGS (Vertical Transfer Exam) can complete a higher education by registering to the departments listed below if they get enough points.
