Horti Culture Program
General Information
Due to the high potential of fruit growing and sapling in our country and region, and the recent developments in horticulture, the horticulture Program was opened in the 2019-2020 academic year under the vocational school.
Horticulture program is a 2-year associate degree program consisting of 120 ECTS credits for 4 semesters, 30 ECTS each semester. Cultural, vocational, theoretical and applied courses are taught as compulsory and elective.
The goal of the program is to train technicians who grow and produce Horticulture, enjoy working outdoors, work regularly and in accordance with the rules, take risks, produce solutions to problems, have natural and environmental sensitivity, have attentive, creative and critical thinking power and respect differences and human rights, and who are careful, aware of their responsibilities, adhere to ethical values, interested in investigation and research, sensitive to social events.
Technician who are trained on fruit and vegetables by the programwill work on garden agriculture.In the garden agriculture program, courses such as agricultural botanic, soil knowledge, agricultural economy, vegetable growing, fruit growing, plant damage and pest control, seedling-seedling growing technique, vine growing, ornamental plant growing are taught and professional practices are carried out.

Our mission is to produce new values for the purposes of a modern and democratic university, adhering to Atatürk's principles and reforms, to meet the quality intermediate needs of national / international institutions and organizations, and to train Garden Farming technicians who are open to development, entrepreneurial, innovative, respectful of human and moral values, compatible with team work, and adapting to developing technologies.

Our vision is to train individuals who are qualified and self-confident, reliable, respected, preferred by domestic and international sectors, who will contribute to the economy, who work at World Standards, who have a respected and reliable professional qualification and self-confidence at national and international levels.
Purposes
The purpose of the program is to train qualified technical personnel who are equipped with modern and current knowledge and experience on the subjects such as the preservation, marketing and processing of products, agricultural production, improvement, mechanization, replication, and cultural maintenance (irrigation, fertilization, disease, pest and weed control, pruning, thinning, etc.), and can prepare and implement projects and set up and run their own business in the public sector
Goals
The aim of the program is to train agricultural technicians who have grown under the roof of Horticultural Agriculture have acquired the ability to study carefully and responsibly and have the ability to work with a team in accordance with the rules, and can produce solutions with analytical thinking.

Higher Education Opportunities
Students who have successfully completed their associate degree education have the opportunity to continue to higher education.Graduates who enter DGS (Vertical Transfer Exam) can complete a higher education by registering to the departments listed below in accordance with the quotas if they get enough points.
