Automotive Technology
General Information
The Automotive Technology Program is a two-year training program under the Motor Vehicles and Transportation Technologies Department in order to ensure that the qualified intermediate man power needed by the Automotive sector in both production and after-sales service levels is trained in accordance with the quality and service philosophy that will meet the expectations of the age.
The program has 40 quotas. Courses are two groups, compulsory and optional. Automotive Technology Program is a 2-year associate degree program consisting of 120 ECTS credits for 4 semesters, of which 30 are ECTS each semester. For this purpose, our students are given both 14 weeks of practical and theoretical lessons. For the practical development of the students, both the workshops available in the department and the facilities of the automotive industry available in our region are utilized. In addition to the courses, each student must complete an intern ship with an industry-based education covering at least 30 working days.
The education in the automotive technology program is professionally supported by scientific, technological and regular workshop practices. Courses in the automotive technology program are given based on theoretical knowledge, experimental abilities and capabilities, traditional and modern technology applications. The personnel who are trained in accordance with the quality and service philosophy that will meet the expectations of the qualified intermediate man power required by the automotive sector in both production and after-sales service levels, can work with technician staff in research units in the automotive field, in various public institutions and organizations. In the industries that produce with traditional and modern technology in the private sector, he is involved in the manufacturing, sales, after-sales services, spare parts, training and consultancy services of the automotive industry. In addition, it can open and run its own workplaces, especially in relation to after-sales services.

It is to be a department that requires the high standards required by the Automotive industry, which is required by Vocational and Technical Education, and which will ensure the raising of modern, environmentally friendly, innovative and qualified manpower. Therefore, it is our primary goal to have a voice in the provision of a human resource that has the infrastructure preferred by the business world, which is qualified and follows innovations and can adapt to developing technologies.

Aim
Department of Motor Vehicles and Transportation Technologies; Automotive technology in the field of theoretical and practical knowledge and sufficient skills, to meet the industrial needs of Turkey, which can be read to follow technological developments, sociable, self-confident, who know their responsibilities, the nature inquisitive and solution finder aims to train people.
Target
To educate graduates who have the knowledge required by technological developments, gained the ability to apply, know the material, have knowledge in production techniques, have the knowledge and skills to solve professional problems, use drawings and norms related to the profession, can use modern devices, and have a diploma at the associate degree.
Facilities Of The Program
Our department has diesel and petrol engines in operation in the engine shop. With the help of the necessary tools and devices, practical courses are possible. Maintenance and adjustment applications are carried out by means of vehicle diagnostics, emission testers, compression testers within the maintenance adjustment workshop.
