GREENHOUSE PROGRAM
General Information
The Greenhouse program was opened in the 2020-2021academic year under the vocational school.
In the program, technicians with technical knowledge and skills are trained in order to create employment for public, private or entrepreneurial and individual purposes through direct and indirect teachings by contributing to plant breeding activities in accordance with the technique of greenhouse- cover production.
The aim of this program is to contribute to the access of consumers to the reliable food they need, and strengthen food safety, competitiveness and sustainability in greenhouse cultivation.
The normal training period in the program is 2 years. Students graduate with 120 ECTS credits at the end of 2 years. Cultural, vocational, theoretical and applied courses are grouped as compulsory and elective.
Mission
The mission of the program is to be a part in the provision of human resources which has the infrastructure to provide the equipped, environmentalist, innovative, sharing, qualified and qualified manpower required by agricultural production and can follow the innovations and adapt to developing technologies.
Vision
Our vision is to train individuals who are qualified and self-confident, reliable, respected, preferred by domestic and international sectors, who will contribute to the economy, who work at World Standards, who have a respected and reliable professional qualification and self-confidence at national and international levels and who can start and manage their own business when necessary, solution-oriented with professional competence and self-confidence.
Purposes
The purpose of the program is to carry out educational activities that enable students who are trained in the Program to be brought to life as individuals operating with an awareness of sensitivity to the environment and living things.
Goals
The aim of the program is to train agricultural technicians who are interested in crop and animal production with having a careful and responsible examination, research curiosity and who are well-organized and are able to work in accordance with the rules, and can produce solutions with analytical thinking.
Program Opportunities
In addition to modern theoretical education tools, there is an equipped laboratory and a plastic tunnel greenhouse which allows agricultural practices.
Program Profile
In the program, there is a technical infrastructure that enables the basic principles of greenhouse management and theoretical and practical demonstration of production processes.

Employment Opportunities
Graduates of Greenhouse Program can work in greenhouse farms producing fruit, vegetables and ornamental plants; in companies working on seeds, medicines (plant protection products); in fertilizer companies and dealers; in companies that manufacture irrigation equipment; landscape, seedling-sapling enterprises; in the park-garden directorates of municipalities; in relevant departments of Ministries.They can work in foreign enterprises with investment in greenhouse. They can also set up theirown businesses
Higher Education Opportunities
Students who have successfully completed their associate degree education have the opportunity to continue to higher education. Graduates who enter DGS (Vertical Transfer Exam) can complete a higher education by registering to the departments listed below in accordance with the quotas if they get enough points.
