Civil engineering is a branch of engineering dedicated to enhancing the quality of human life in topics of the design, construction, operation, and maintenance related to infrastructure, transportation systems, energy resources, and environmental protection. Thus, it is a broad discipline encompassing a wide range of projects. The Department of Civil Engineering began its academic activities in 2016 and comprises six major subfields: Structural Engineering, Mechanics, Construction Materials, Geotechnical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, and Hydraulics. As of 2025, the department employs a total of 12 academic staff members, including 3 professors, 2 associate professors, 5 assistant professors, and 2 research assistants.
