The Department of Political Science and International Relations offers B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. degrees and the language of instruction of the department is Turkish. The Department currently has 10 full-time academic personnel, including 9 full, associate or assistant professors, and 1 research assistants. 
 
Department of Political Science and International Relations aims to provide its students with the knowledge and skills to comprehend and analyze national and international developments in the ever-developing and changing international system in the light of history and scientific methods, and to acquire foreign language knowledge at a level that will enable them to follow international literature as well as national sources. Within this framework, students are encouraged to develop their analytical thinking skills, to increase their professional knowledge of the discipline of International Relations and Political Science, to participate in conferences and panels, to follow scientific publications and to do internships in organizations related to their fields during the summer semesters.
 
Our vision is to be a department that educates self-confident world people who comprehend the main elements of international relations and other related disciplines as broadly as possible by using information resources effectively, and who have the vision to compete in the national and international arena. To be one of the leading departments in Turkey in the field of knowledge production and higher education in the context of its discipline, to be a pioneer in this field and to be a department that follows the developments and prepares its students for post-university life in the most effective way. To be an internationally recognized department that educates individuals who are knowledgeable and sensitive about the problems facing the world, is in continuous progress and development, carries out productive and scientific activities, interacts with stakeholders and leading academic institutions in its field at national and international level, and contributes to scientific development.

Program Description: The Department of Political Science and International Relations aims to train human resources who can analyze many events, facts and problems from economic, political and social developments to diplomatic relations and historical processes of these relations with the basic principles of political science, and who have the ability to comprehend and evaluate with a multidimensional perspective. Today, international relations encompass relations and developments not only between countries but also between societies, non-governmental organizations, individuals and supranational actors. The Department of International Relations and Political Science provides the opportunity to educate students who can analyze this multi-layered network of relations at the global level, have the necessary knowledge and skills about domestic and foreign policy, have a command of the conceptual framework and theoretical approaches in international relations and political science, conduct interdisciplinary research, specialize in their field, think analytically, and have the equipment to increase the competitiveness and representation power of our country.
 
Access to Higher Degree Programs: Candidates who have successfully completed their undergraduate education can study in graduate programs in their own fields or related fields, provided that they get a valid grade from the ALES exam and have a sufficient level of foreign language knowledge in their field.
