OUR MISSION

In the light of Atatürk’s principles and reforms, and guided by the achievements of our democratic and secular republic, our mission is to educate highly qualified individuals who embrace contemporary and ethical values, believe in the rule of law, and are equipped to contribute to science, technology, culture, and art on both national and universal levels.

In addition to training qualified Physical Education Teachers who have internalized the values of the information society, we aim to be a model department that produces and applies knowledge in fields related to education, teaching, and the teaching profession.

We strive to provide an environment that recognizes and promotes national values, encouraging individuals to realize their potential. Our goal is to deliver the highest level of postgraduate education, fostering creative scientists and experts who contribute to universal science.

Our vision is to be a pioneering department that raises individuals equipped with the qualities required by the information age, who uphold human dignity above all else, and who are driven by dreams and ideals. We aim to be a department that all its students and staff take pride in belonging to and is widely recognized.

We are committed to:

• Sincerely adhering to Atatürk’s principles and reforms, and strictly following educational principles in training Physical Education Teachers for primary and secondary education institutions.
• Educating scientists who are problem solvers, possess creative and critical thinking skills, take responsibility, and make independent decisions.
• Conducting original scientific research, both basic and applied, in fields related to education, teaching, coaching, sports management, and the teaching profession.
• Providing in-service training programs to institutions in areas where the sports community requires expertise, conducting research to meet institutional needs, and organizing scientific events to enlighten those working in educational institutions.
• Operating in universal standards to fulfill functions related to science, cultural activities, artistic aspects, and the creation of sports values, while also taking responsibility for community service.
• Becoming a department that trains scientists and experts who contribute to society's well-being, open new horizons, and lead society under changing global conditions.
