Students from the International Trade and Logistics Department conducted a technical visit to AK GIDA, one of the largest companies in Turkey’s dairy and dairy products sector, with six production facilities nationwide and a daily milk processing capacity of 5,000 tons.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to observe the facility’s modern production lines and logistics processes firsthand. Company managers provided detailed explanations of all processes from production to sales and answered students’ questions. Particular attention was given to product hygiene and quality control stages, storage and distribution systems, and logistics activities.
This technical visit allowed students to reinforce their theoretical knowledge through real-world applications and to see the connection between production and logistics in practice. In addition to gaining industry experience, students benefited from interacting with sector professionals, contributing significantly to their career planning.
At the conclusion of the visit, the department’s faculty members and students expressed their gratitude to AK GIDA officials for their hospitality and for sharing valuable insights.
