Dear Students and Esteemed Stakeholders,
The rapidly evolving global economic structure, digital transformation, and intensifying competitive conditions have made the need for highly qualified human capital—capable of analytical thinking and strategic vision—more critical than ever in the field of international trade and logistics. In today’s business environment, sustainable competitive advantage depends not only on technological infrastructure but also on competent individuals who can utilize that infrastructure effectively and efficiently.
As the Department of International Trade and Logistics at Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University, our primary objective is to educate professionals who possess a comprehensive understanding of the global trade system, can manage logistics processes from a holistic perspective, adhere to ethical principles, and demonstrate a strong sense of social responsibility. Our curriculum is continuously updated in line with contributions from industry representatives and academic stakeholders and is structured to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application.
Our curriculum aims to provide students with a solid academic and professional foundation in areas such as marketing, transportation, warehousing, import-export operations, customs procedures, business administration, and professional foreign language training. Furthermore, as one of the pioneering departments in Türkiye to implement the 6+2 education model, our department offers students the opportunity to gain direct sectoral experience prior to graduation through the Workplace/Professional Training Program conducted in their final year, in line with our practice-oriented educational approach.
Through national and international exchange programs, our department supports the academic and cultural development of our students while also offering significant opportunities for those pursuing academic careers through graduate education. The master’s programs conducted under the Institute of Social Sciences aim to educate specialists who contribute to both the theoretical and practical dimensions of the field.
As the Department of International Trade and Logistics, our goal is to graduate individuals who can accurately interpret change, remain open to innovation, possess strong research competencies, create added value for the institutions they serve, and compete effectively at the global level. In this regard, we remain committed to continuously enhancing our quality-oriented educational approach.
We would be delighted to welcome you to our department and wish you every success in your academic and professional journey.
