Structural engineering laboratory was established on 9th December 2015. This laboratory consists of vertical loading frame with 100 t capacity load control and also horizontal loading wall with 100 t capacity displacement control.
The current vertical loading frame, reinforced concrete, steel and composite beams which have span of 7 m or reinforced concrete, steel and composite slabs which have span of 7 m can be easily tested.
30 mm diameter holes on the vertical loading frame provide rigid points to measure deformation.
Vertical hydraulic piston with 100 t loading capacity is assembled at midpoint of the vertical loading frame.
Displacement-controlled horizontal loading wall which has 2 m width and 1.5 m thickness is designed in such a way that the loading point of the piston can be changed horizontally or vertically.
In order to carry weighty materials, there is a 3 t capacity column crane system which has the movement capability to front, rear, right, left, up and down directions with two-step speed control.
