The Department of Music, Turkish Music Department, which was established within the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture of K.M.U. Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture with the law dated 24.01.2018 and numbered 2547, started accepting students at the undergraduate level with a special talent exam in the 2024-2025 academic year.
The Department of Music, Turkish Music Department covers a four-year undergraduate program supported by individual instrument training and voice training as well as field courses such as Turkish Music Solfege and Theory, Western Music Solfege and Theory, Music History, Piano and Harmony.
Our department aims to train academicians, teachers and artists who will learn the subtleties of both Classical Western Music and Traditional Turkish Music and transfer them to future generations with its curriculum prepared to support students to become competent in every field of music and continues its education with three faculty members and one lecturer.
