Due to UNESCO's declaration of 2023 as the "50th Anniversary of Âşık Veysel's Death," a panel titled "The Bright Face of a Dark World: Âşık Veysel" was held on November 15, 2023, in the Faculty of Letters Conference Hall. The panel was moderated by Professor Dr. İdris Nebi Uysal from the Department of Turkish Language and Literature. The panelists were Associate Professor Dr. Kamil Ali Gıynaş, Associate Professor Dr. Onur Aykaç and Dr. Hüseyin Aksoy from the Department of Turkish Language and Literature, as well as Research Assistant Dr. Emre Koç from the Department of History. After the speakers delivered their presentations, the panel concluded.
