Enterprises have to compete by entering the markets of developing countries. In order to compete, they must first be integrated into developed markets and even become an integral part of these markets.

Despite all the obstacles in the world trade, such as tariffs, quotas, tax restrictions on trade, foreign trade volumes are in an increasing trend. In addition, logistics activities are carried out with old and backward methods in the products subject to trade. Nowadays, as a result of the developments in technology and operation, businesses have had to reconsider their processes. Changes in international trade due to the intense competition environment reveal the need to develop and renew logistics activities.

Although international trade is an old economic activity, it is becoming increasingly complex and requires expertise due to globalizing economic relations. A large number of financial products have emerged in the international financial markets to finance foreign trade. Firms have great requirements for specialists who are familiar with modern foreign trade transactions, various documents and financing procedures. On the other hand, logistics practices have gained great importance in today's economic relations and foreign trade. Logistics costs of companies have reached great rates. Because this area requires expertise, companies transfer their activities to logistics companies. For these reasons, expertise in international trade and logistics is regarded as one of the most popular jobs of today and the future.

The International Trade and Logistics Management Program includes topics such as inventory, transportation, storage and packaging. In this direction in general; It is an integrated program that covers economics and business courses such as economics, import and export practices, logistics, accounting, marketing, foreign trade operations.

In today's competitive conditions, international trade can be carried out within the framework of contemporary logistics management approach. Therefore, experts in the field of international trade applications are expected to have comprehensive logistics knowledge. Today, logistics is much more than an ordinary transportation activity. In addition to transportation; It is an area that includes coordinating activities such as receiving, storing goods, services, information and similar items, moving them to the point that the customer needs, within an economic plan.

International Trade and Logistics department students can have the opportunity to improve themselves in these fields by getting an internship for a period of time and meeting the features demanded by the market before their graduation. Students will be able to adapt to working life more quickly due to their internship and will have the opportunity to become more advantageous in achieving their career goals. Graduated students can work in public institutions such as Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Development, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Customs and Trade, Undersecretariat of Treasury, Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade. In addition, foreign trade units of private companies can be employed in logistics and production departments. With the effect of globalization and competition throughout our country, the need for trained labor force is increasing.

The purpose of this program is to train qualified specialists who can meet the international trade and logistics requirements of our country and the region where they are located, have sufficient knowledge, have a good foreign language, are equipped and can meet the human resources needs in the sector.
