As part of the Science Café events organized by the Scientific Communication Coordination Office of Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University (KMU) under the coordination of the Scientific Communication Office of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), high school students had the opportunity to learn about the professions of the future through various programs.

During the events held at Karaman TOBB Science High School and Karaman Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Social Sciences High School, academicians from different fields met with students and shared information about current developments, career opportunities, and the transformation of future professions.

Within the scope of the event, Dr. Hüseyin Eldem, Head of the Department of Software Development at KMU, delivered a presentation to high school students on recent developments in software technologies, digital transformation, and the future of the software industry.

In his presentation, Dr. Eldem highlighted the importance of emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, and the opportunities offered by the rapidly evolving digital world. He also shared valuable advice with students who are interested in pursuing a career in software development, emphasizing the importance of improving problem-solving skills, following technological innovations, and adopting a continuous learning mindset.

Throughout the program, students had the opportunity to ask questions about career opportunities in software development, the university education process, and the skills required by the software industry.

The event attracted great interest from students, providing them with the opportunity to gain insight into the field of software development and receive information directly from an academic expert.

Through Science Café events, it is aimed to bring scientific knowledge produced at universities together with society, contribute to young people’s career planning, and increase scientific awareness.
