Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duygu Aydın from the Department of Chemistry and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erdi Akman and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Osman Ağar from the Department of Physics, all faculty members of our Faculty of Science, have been included in the “World's Most Influential Scientists” list prepared in collaboration between Stanford University and Elsevier.

In the 2025 assessment, which takes into account scientists' academic publications, citation counts and the impact of their research, 249,310 researchers worldwide and 1,776 researchers from Türkiye qualified for the list. Our faculty members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duygu Aydın, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erdi Akman and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Osman Ağar were ranked among the top 2% most influential scientists in the world in their respective fields.

With 9 academics on the list, Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University shared 74th–78th place among the 261 institutions from Türkiye represented, once again demonstrating its strength in scientific output.
