The faculty was established in 1992 under the Selçuk University and the department of economics started its academic activity in 1996. With the establishment of KaramanoğluMehmetbey University in 2007, it continues its academic activities within this university. |

This department is subject to 240 ECTS credits first stage degree system in the field of Economics in higher education. When the program is completed successfully and program qualifications are provided, Bachelor's degree in Economics is obtained. |

Conditions for Acceptance |
|
Students who wish to enroll in the department must complete the processes / exams determined by student selection and placement center (ÖSYM) within the framework of the academic and legal regulations of the university. A student who has started to study in the equivalent program at home or abroad can apply for transfer. Students' admissions are examined before the semester begins, taking into account the conditions of each student and the degree to which they apply, and are evaluated specially. |

Conditions of Graduation |

To take all the courses in the curriculum determined by the Senate of the program to which it is affiliated and to be successful. In this program, the student must provide a minimum of 240 ECTS credits and a GPA of 2.00. |

Employment Possibilities |
|
Job opportunities for graduates of economic department are quite much.Graduates can affiliate different exams announced by various ministries to work as economy expert or researcher. There are also other institutions such as state owned or private banks, research associations, local or international corporations that graduates may be employed. Even though the graduates may find jobs in various sectors, they are mostly employed in education and research associations in recent years. Therefore, graduate of economics have right to apply for other professions which are more concerned with the other departments of administrative sciences, namely governorship or administrative judge. |

Quantification and Evaluation |
|
Exams are evaluated on a grade of 100. The passing grade is calculated to the students who take the related course by considering 40% of the midterm exams and 60% of the final exams and the total grade is evaluated by relative consideration system which attends the grade letters according to the distribution of all students’ notes. |
