Announcement On Optional English Preparatory Class

2026–2027 ACADEMIC YEAR OPTIONAL ENGLISH PREPARATORY CLASS ANNOUNCEMENT

Students who wish to receive optional English preparatory education and fulfill the requirements specified in the important notes section below must submit their application petition in person to the School of Foreign Languages Directorate, Student Affairs Office between September 14–24, 2026.

The list of students whose applications are accepted within the quota will be announced on September 25, 2026. In order to avoid any disadvantage in case the preparatory class is not opened or your application falls outside the quota, you must complete your department's course registration within the period specified in the academic calendar. The registrations of students accepted into the optional preparatory program will be transferred to the preparatory class by the Student Affairs Office on September 26, 2026, and their departmental course registrations will be completed automatically by the system. Therefore, students who are not accepted into the preparatory class must complete their own course registrations within the scheduled timeframe to proceed with their departmental studies.

Important Notes

• Students cannot take both the optional preparatory class and departmental courses simultaneously.
• Students who withdraw from the preparatory class during the academic year cannot proceed to their departments until the next academic year.
• Only newly registered students are eligible to apply.
• Before applying, please check the Programs with Optional Preparatory Classes table below to confirm your eligibility. Applications from students of programs not listed will not be accepted.
