MINOR PROGRAM

A minor program is a program that allows students enrolled in a degree program to earn a certificate (minor certificate)—which does not substitute for a degree—by taking a limited number of courses within the same institution of higher education, provided they meet the specified requirements.

Procedures related to Dual Major and Minor programs offered within our university are conducted in accordance with the provisions of the “Regulations on the Principles for Transfer Between Associate and Bachelor’s Degree Programs, Dual Major, Minor Programs, and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer in Higher Education Institutions.”

  • Students who have successfully completed all credit-bearing courses in their undergraduate program up to the semester in which they apply may apply to the minor program.
  • At the time of application, the student’s cumulative GPA in their major program must be at least 65 out of 100 (2.50 out of 4).
  • The student’s performance in the minor program does not affect their graduation from the major program.

 FOR MINOR PROGRAM:

  • Students may apply to the minor program at the start of the third semester at the earliest and the fifth semester at the latest of their major undergraduate program
  • Students must have no missing or failed courses required by the curriculum of their major program up to the semester of application.
  • The student’s cumulative GPA at the time of application must be at least 2.50 for the minor program.
  • Minor students are not subject to semester restrictions when selecting courses. Students may take courses in the fall semester during the 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th semesters, and in the spring semester during the 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th semesters.
