Cherry Orchard Visit and Multidisciplinary Project Meetings

On June 30, 2026, a comprehensive cherry orchard visit was organized upon the kind invitation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Merve KARA, a faculty member of the Department of Mathematics at the Kamil Özdağ Faculty of Science, with the participation of our university’s senior administration and faculty delegation.

Broad Academic Participation

The visit was highly supported by the university and faculty administration, notably including our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mehmet GAVGALI, and our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Nevzat AYDIN, alongside distinguished members of our academic staff.

The visit took place in a warm and collaborative atmosphere, graciously hosted by our former Member of Parliament, Att. Ali PINARBAŞI, and Mr. Muzaffer KARA. Productive discussions were held on cherry agriculture, modern cultivation processes, Karaman province, and the regional development role of our university.

During the meetings, current scientific projects conducted by our faculty members were evaluated, and ideas were exchanged regarding opportunities for developing multidisciplinary studies and joint projects at the intersection of agriculture and science.

We would like to express our gratitude to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Merve KARA for organizing this wonderful event and bringing us together, as well as to our esteemed hosts for their kind hospitality and to all the participants.
