Mini Drawing Workshop on Geometric Patterns (20.10.2026)

On October 20, 2026, a "Mini Drawing Workshop on Geometric Patterns" was held within our faculty in collaboration with the KMU Mathematics Club, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Merve Görgülü.

In this delightful event where traditional art met mathematics, "Hexagon-Based Geometric Patterns" were explored, and hands-on drawing activities were carried out with the participants. Students from various departments of our university, primarily from the Department of Mathematics and the Department of Data Science and Analytics, attended the event.

Providing insights into the geometric patterns found in many of our traditional and national monuments, Asst. Prof. Dr. Merve Görgülü introduced beginner-level designs based on fundamental templates. These patterns, examples of which can be seen across historical pulpits (minbar), wooden doors, and traditional carpets, were received with great interest and appreciation by our students.
