Head of the Department of Data Science and Analytics, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Yıldırım, Attended the Türkiye Artificial Intelligence Summit

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Yıldırım, Head of the Data Science and Analytics Department of our Faculty, was invited to the Türkiye Artificial Intelligence Summit, which was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Technology at Istanbul Tersane on June 13, 2026, and held with the honor of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

At the summit, which brought together representatives of public institutions, universities, the private sector, and civil society, Türkiye's Artificial Intelligence Vision and Action Plan covering the 2026–2030 period was shared with the public. The plan, built on the axes of "Realize, Benefit, Produce, and Manage," covers the headings of data infrastructure, qualified human resources, domestic model development, and regulatory framework.

In addition to his academic studies within the Department of Data Science and Analytics, the domestic software development, project, training, and consultancy activities he has been carrying out in the field of artificial intelligence under the umbrella of Karaman Teknopark for four years were influential in Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Yıldırım's invitation to the summit. These activities also reflect our Department's priority approach in terms of transforming academic knowledge into practice and domestic technology production.

In this period when data science and artificial intelligence are gaining increasing importance on a national scale, our Department continues its education, research, and application activities in these fields.
