Our mission is to train researcher, trainer, practitioner, manager and leader nurses have characteristics of “with scientific understanding, who is sensitive to country and world problems, problem solving, who can adapt to changing conditions, with goals for the future, with skills of team work, leadership and communication, can use communication and education technologies, who can establish relationships between different branches of science and apply their knowledge to different fields, sensitive to culture and art, believing to human being, human health, the integrity of the individual, health is an important value, health services should be offered to all segments of society in cooperation with other team members and ethical values should guide the service, can assess the health care needs of the country in the context of contemporary approaches”.

To create policies that will allow expanding workplace of nursing, which is limited by nursing care services, to work every place where human beings exist. To ensure that our graduates are professionally organized and that our graduates work in appropriate positions for their educational purposes and continuously develop themselves professionally.

REQUIRED CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSION TO PROGRAM
To register to the Faculty of Health Sciences Faculty of Nursing, it is necessary to gain the right to graduate from any secondary school and to get enough score to enter the LYS exam and make a preference from the related score type. REQUIRED CONDITIONS FOR GRADUATING PROGRAM
The students take the theoretical and practical lessons that will last 4 years (8 semesters). In order to graduate from the program, the students must complete a total of 240 ECTS with a maximum of 45 ECTS credits for each semester and successfully pass all courses. Clinics of universities and state hospitals, various health institutions and community health related institutions are used for the practices of the vocational courses in the curriculum. Practices allow the student to reflect on what he / she learned in theory and to enable the graduate student to act effectively and immediately in practice. The practices are carried out in health institutions in Karaman during the year.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE NURSING PROGRAM:
Those who want to work in the field of nursing should be healthy, have good communication with people, vigilant, patient, honest, tolerant, and calm. In addition they should have a sense of responsibility and should be happy to help people, especially those who have problems with their health, and love their profession so that they can succeed in education and working life.
TITLES AND DUTIES OF THE NURSING UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM GRADUATES:
Those who complete the nursing program are given the title "Nurse". Nurses work in the fields of therapeutic services and preventive health services. In the field of therapeutic services, the nurse takes care and treats the individual as a whole; physiological, psychological and social. Nurses take basic human needs such as respiration, nutrition, discharge, movement and proper position, sleep, rest, proper clothing, body temperature into consideration, and follow the prescribed treatment for the patient. They follow and keep eyes on the patient, keeps written report. The nurse also assists in the examination and diagnosis of the patient in the outpatient clinics, gives explanatory information to the patient, prepares the physical environment in the operating room, assists the surgical team, and cares for the patient in the separation room. In the field of preventive health services, the nurse is involved in the implementation of maternal and child health and family planning services, providing health education, protection from infectious diseases and collecting and evaluating statistical information.
WORK AREAS OF NURSING UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM GRADUATES:
Nurses serve as service nurses, clinical nurses and hospital nurses in all private or public health institutions. In addition to basic nursing education, nurses who receive teaching certificates (pedagogy) and undergraduate education can work in health vocational high schools, and can work in universities as academicians if they complete their academic studies, and contribute to education, training and research activities. Currently, only a small percentage of nurses in our country are graduated from college / faculties and the need for nurses are in demand because their distribution throughout the country is not balanced.
