The mission of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation is to educate proficient, well-educated, moral, constructive physiotherapists and scientists who act according to ethics, respect to human rights, and who are equipped with the skills of lifelong learning, teaching and effective communication, and are experts in their professional and scientific fields. The department also aims to carry out multidisciplinary research, to make the physiotherapy and rehabilitation services parallel with evidence based science and modern technology to support the society, and to contribute to the development of professional academicians and scientist who will act according to global and cultural values.
Physiotherapist is a health care professional, who provides direct patient care to individuals, who have disorders of movement, mechanical, physiological and developmental impairments and functional limitations, caused by injury or disease which leads to movement disorders to help them to achieve maximum physical function and mobility.
Graduates of the Physiotherapy Department and Rehabilitation in the Faculty of Health Sciences receive the title of "Physiotherapist" with "Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Graduate Diploma".
Physiotherapists practice in hospitals and medical centres, rehabilitation centres, private clinics, sports medicine facilities, universities, home health services, spa centres and in various other settings. They can take the title of master, doctorate, associate professor and professor by continuing their postgraduate education with the condition of gaining related education-training programs.
Our department is in the process of being established and has not yet received students.
