LEARNING AND TEACHING AND TREANING

This short-term joint staff training activity was to take place in Karaman (at the coordinating university and 2 nursing homes in Karaman (as they are associated partners)) and the planned participants would include adult educators, academics, researchers, ICT specialists and caregivers. Depending on the objectives of this project, a special short-term training program (5 days) was planned for each day. The first day was devoted to introducing how the Turkish system works in Turkey's nursing homes, legal regulations and nursing home sector. The second and third days were the presentation of ICT assisted care and digital health issues related to digital innovations in the care sector. Experts of Turkish partners, academics and ICT experts were planned to provide these trainings. The fourth day aimed to teach how wearable devices (a sensor applied to the body that converts physiological signals such as heart rate, movement, other physical signals) are used and their effectiveness in nursing homes. On the fifth day, it was planned to evaluate the training program, to provide extra training for the missing parts, to interview the participants and to conduct surveys. However, due to covid 19, we met many times with our European partners and made an effort to carry out the LTT activity in Karaman, at least in 2021. However, we could not carry out the LTT activity that should be done in Karaman, citing both the virus danger and the precautions and restrictions taken by their own countries regarding the covid. Thereupon, we decided to carry out the LTT activity online. Finally, we held this meeting online in October. We have already given constant and regular information about the issues. Except for some face-to-face jobs, we did not leave any unfulfilled issues. We have given all the information that should be given in the LTT activity. No related institution has requested any appropriation. No budget was used for this online activity.

Within the scope of this project, the planned LTT activity could not be realized due to the reasons stated earlier. Therefore, transactions regarding LTT could not be carried out. In the online LTT activity, the participants became experts in the project team of each partner. These people were selected from the people who took part in the project process and had a good command of the subject. As the selection criteria, each partner made a choice considering the competence of the participant and their willingness to take part in the project activities.

Some learning activities have been prepared for the participants. These are short trainings that contain detailed information on the project topics and are educational activities that will help the participants better understand the content of the subject. For example, short tutorials on how to create content related to the software program we have produced and to help each partner better understand their duties. In this way, detailed information about the content and tasks has been conveyed.

Again, questions of the participants were answered in the online question-and-answer sections, and short training sessions were given in many different fields by progressing on a question-based basis.
