E1. KMU EXPANSION ACTIVITY (Final Conference)

First of all, we talked to our National Expert about the final conference of our project and talked about the drawbacks of crowded groups coming together due to the pandemic. After discussion, we decided to hold the Final Conference in smaller groups. We met with the nursing home administrations and invited our elderly and all other employees. However, we did not need the participation of the elderly, since the risk of the virus is higher in the participation of the elderly.

In these meetings, we briefly mentioned all the activities we carried out from the beginning to the end of the project. Again, we talked in detail about all the intellectual outputs we produced within the scope of our project. Detailed information is given on where and how these intellectual outputs will be used and what benefits they will have. Again, we provided the introduction of all the documents, software programs we produced and all the tools and materials we obtained.

Nursing home staff, nurses, health personnel and nursing home administrators attended the final conference meetings organized by Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University. In addition to these personnel, participants from health institutions also attended these meetings. Representatives from the fields of software and technology also attended the meetings. Academics and researchers and participants from the IT sector also attended the meetings.

Representatives of companies operating in the sales and distribution of technological products that can be used in elderly care also participated. Healthcare professionals and social workers also attended the meetings.

Speakers and lecturers briefly introduced our project activities. Afterwards, all the works and intellectual outputs we have done are introduced in detail. The dissemination materials prepared were distributed in printed and digital formats at this conference as well.

Considering the wishes and needs of all participants, assistance was provided in all matters. Our focus in these meetings has been to inform the elderly care home staff and professionals, and to disseminate our project as much as we can.

Although we started our dissemination activities very early, we got too caught up in the covid 19 restrictions and fear. During our visits to nursing homes, we could not invite our elderly people. Staff participation was also limited. We would like to hold the final conference with a large group as we wish, but although it took more time, the number of participants in these meetings, which we held in small groups, was not limited to 100 people as we had planned, and approximately 200 people were reached.
