E2. KMU EXPANSION ACTIVITY (Visits To Nursing Homes)

It is planned to organize interactive workshops in all partner countries. We planned to hold eight workshops from seven different geographical regions of our country as samples. However, in the places we went, we held two more meetings in Ankara, three in Istanbul and two in Izmir, and held five more workshops. The reason for this was to reach the wider masses of the dissemination activity by visiting the institutions operating in the same activities in the cities we visited. It was also very beneficial in terms of disseminating our project results to as many nursing homes, elderly people and nursing home staff as possible. While determining the aforementioned cities, attention was paid to the fact that they were the largest cities in the region. Thus, it has become possible to disseminate it to a larger group. We held these meetings as much as we could and our time allowed. We had the opportunity to reach a much higher number of personnel than we initially thought. In this context, it was possible to promote and distribute all the materials, brochures, intellectual outputs and software of our project to approximately 200 people in 11 workshops. In fact, the mentioned figure may exceed 200 people, as some participants forgot to sign even though they attended. We visited the following nursing homes according to the number of nursing home staff, elderly people and general facilities, all of which belong to the Turkish Ministry of Family and Social Policies.

Our target audience in these workshops; nursing home workers, managers, staff, seniors in nursing homes, official regional and local nursing home officials, and regional health-technology company representatives. It is aimed to inform our target audience about the results of our project, to introduce our software (patient monitoring software in nursing home) and to teach nursing home staff how to use this new software effectively. In every nursing home we visited, information was given on health and technology and how it could be used in nursing homes. The usage and interfaces of our software have been introduced in a practical way with details. The questions have been answered. Our project results and intellectual outputs were distributed to the employees in printed and digital formats.

Our Turkish partner “Special Education Academy” organized all the workshops and prepared all the materials that were planned to be distributed. It acted actively as the main responsible institution in these 11 workshops. In these workshops, great efforts were made to reach more institutions and personnel. Even though it was a workshop, we had too many visits to Nursing Homes that we did not include in these numbers. Around 50 Nursing Homes were visited to explain the project activities and results. Again, after the project, visits will continue in accordance with the demands from many nursing homes.

During the workshops, we wanted to reach our elderly people, but the ongoing pandemic process prevented many activities as well as these meetings.
