General Information

The Emergency and Disaster Management Program is an associate degree program under the Department of Property Protection and Security. It has been established to meet the demand for trained personnel in public institutions and organizations, local governments, private enterprises, and non-governmental organizations serving in this field. The main goal of the program is to enhance the capacity to effectively cope with emergencies and disasters and to train professionals equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills in the field of Emergency and Disaster Management.

Program Objectives and Goals

  • To equip students with the necessary knowledge, values, and skills to implement Emergency and Disaster Management practices in public and private sectors, as well as in non-governmental organizations, with a regulatory, planning, training, and research-oriented approach.
  • To prioritize national needs while keeping track of global developments.
  • To conduct scientific research on emergency and disaster-related topics and play an active role in knowledge production in this field.
  • To enhance the professional development of personnel working in Emergency and Disaster Management by providing them with necessary skills and competencies.

PHARMACY SERVICES PROGRAM


General Information

The Pharmacy Services Program is an associate degree program under the Department of Pharmacy Services. Its mission is to train intermediate personnel required by the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in pharmacies, using modern techniques and scientific approaches. The program includes courses aimed at establishing a fundamental infrastructure for healthcare services, theoretical courses on pharmacy services from the second semester onward, and practical applications. Additionally, a 30-day internship is a graduation requirement to provide students with hands-on experience.

Program Objectives and Goals

The goal of the Pharmacy Services Program is to train technical personnel who possess the professional knowledge, skills, and competencies required by the modern era, understand the roles, responsibilities, and ethical values of pharmacy technicians, and have a dedicated and entrepreneurial spirit. The primary aim of the program is to educate intermediate personnel needed in the pharmaceutical industry and pharmacy services in a scientific environment, ensuring they acquire the necessary knowledge and professional skills. Graduates will be capable of dispensing prescribed medications, preparing necessary compounds under the supervision of a pharmacist, and working in laboratories, the pharmaceutical industry, and drug warehouses as qualified healthcare professionals. The specific competencies students are expected to gain include:

  • Acquiring a strong theoretical foundation in healthcare and pharmacy services and applying it in practice.
  • Gaining access to up-to-date information in healthcare and pharmacy services, analyzing and synthesizing information, and keeping up with new technologies.
  • Actively engaging in communication with patients, pharmaceutical companies, and healthcare institutions while adopting a problem-solving approach.
  • Understanding all procedures and processes related to medications, including preparation, usage, storage, sales, and consultancy.
  • Managing the general organization of the pharmacy, assisting in procurement processes when necessary, and supporting invoicing and institutional relations.

 PHYSIOTHERAPY PROGRAM

 

Physiotherapy Program Educational Objectives

  1. To provide students with the knowledge and skills to plan and apply treatment approaches specific to injuries, diseases, aging, pain, and functional impairments causing movement disorders.
  2. To train healthcare personnel with sufficient competence to apply physiotherapy treatments under the supervision of physiotherapy doctors and physiotherapists.
  3. To educate physiotherapy technicians who play a crucial role in improving individuals' health and quality of life.
  4. Graduates of the program can work in hospitals and rehabilitation centers affiliated with the Ministry of Health, public and private healthcare institutions, university hospitals, physiotherapy and rehabilitation clinics, special branch centers, nursing homes, thermal therapy centers, and health tourism-oriented hotels.

Emergency and First Aid Program Educational Objectives

The aim of the program is to train qualified paramedics (Ambulance and Emergency Care Technicians) who can perform life-saving and disability-preventing interventions in emergencies and work in emergency healthcare units of healthcare institutions, as well as in other organizations providing emergency health services.
