Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there were some difficulties in Project Management and implementation. Since the students of our university continue their education with distance education, it has not been possible to carry out many activities. Despite this, many project introductory meetings were held to introduce the project to large audiences. With the start of the 2021-2022 academic calendar, project activities have accelerated.
First of all, numerous project introduction meetings were held to identify interested and talented young people between the ages of 18 -25. In these meetings, we introduced the activities within the scope of the project and the work to be done. In the meantime, we tried to learn the excitement, interest and talents of the young people. We have identified 100 young people to include in our project activities.
We brought these students, whom we determined, together with many of the leading names of the IT sector who have been successful in their fields. We have created opportunities to listen to their advice and future predictions. We continued to listen to important names in the field within the framework of a planning. Since Karaman is a small city, visits were made to informatics companies in our close vicinity. The expenses of such invitations, visits and promotional meetings were spent for the management and implementation of our project. Each partner used the same method when spending the PMI budget.
By the coordinator; Computer science undergraduates and related-talented youth were recruited into various IT Career Events to increase their knowledge, skills and experience. All meals and accommodation expenses are covered. These activities not only promoted the project but also motivated the students very well.
In addition, study visits were made to IT companies in Konya, Mersin, Adana and Ankara.
Then, all existing IT companies were visited during the visits to Mersin, Konya Technopark and Konya İnnopark. Students identified the interests and demands of the private sector, especially employment, face to face.
