HISTORY-INTRODUCTION

Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Faculty of Lİterature was established under Selçuk University with the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 17.07.2006 and numbered 2006/10735 published in the Official Gazette dated 05.08.2006 and numbered 26250, and was incorporated into its own structure on 29.05.2007 with the establishment of Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University.

 

- Our faculty started accepting students in the 2009-2010 academic year with the letter sent by the Council of Higher Education dated 09.04.2009. Our faculty continues its education life with 7 active departments, namely History Department, Turkish Language and Literature Department, Sociology Department, Philosophy Department, Archaeology Department and English Language and Literature Department, Translation and Interpreting Department, and 2457 students.

 

- Within the History Department; 19 faculty members, including 4 professors, 5 associate professors, 6 assistant professors, 4 research assistants

 

- Within the Turkish Language and Literature Department; 20 faculty members, including 1 professor, 7 associate professors, 6 assistant professors, 6 research assistants

 

- Within the Sociology Department; 11 faculty members, including 1 professor, 2 associate professors, 5 assistant professors, 3 research assistants

 

- Within the Archaeology Department; 7 faculty members, including 4 associate professors, 3 assistant professors

 

- Within the Philosophy Department; 10 faculty members, including 2 professors, 3 associate professors, 3 assistant professors, 2 research assistants

 

- Within the Psychology Department; 1 associate professor,

 

- Within the English Language and Literature Department; 6 faculty members, including 1 associate professor, 3 assistant professors, 2 research assistants

 

- Within the Translation and Interpreting Department; It consists of 24 faculty members, including 8 Associate Professors, 11 Assistant Professors, and 5 Research Assistants

With a total of 98 faculty members from 8 departments.
