DEPARTMENT OF TRANSLATION AND INTERPRETATION

Our department has five fields of study: German, Arabic, Persian, French and English. Unlike the Translation and Interpretation departments of other universities in Turkey, our Department of Translation and Interpretation opened the Department of Arabic and Persian Translation and Interpretation for the first time in 2009-2010 academic year as well as German, French and English Translation and Interpretation Departments under the name of Department of Translation and Interpretation. Translation and Interpretation is a department with broad business opportunities in public and private sectors in terms of providing cultural, commercial and political communication between nations. Students who prefer to study at, the department of Translation and Interpretation are aimed to gain the ability of translation and interpretation at the end of their four year education. Our graduate students can work as an interpreter in European Union projects, embassies, media organizations, national and international companies. It may also possible for universities to take part in teaching staff and learn their own translation offices. Students who have graduated from our department also have the opportunity to master and Ph. D. in related fields.
