PHILOSOPHY PROGRAM / PROGRAM TEACHING OBJECTIVES
 
TO1: To ensure that the need for philosophical knowledge is raised in directing personal and social life and conducting research in various fields of knowledge through the education, training and research it conducts; to train field experts who conduct national and internationally respected research, work in various academic and research institutions at home and abroad, and can make positive contributions to science and humanity,
 
TO2: To provide the information needed to conduct academic studies, research and examination and to equip them with the skills to use this information,
 
TO3: To train freely educated individuals who have basic cultural awareness, think about the basic problems of human existence and act rationally,
 
TO4: To increase their skills in following modern technology, using tools and equipment related to their field, and interpreting documents and other historical materials they obtain,
 
TO5: To provide the skills to establish effective written and oral communication, to be able to work in teams, to conduct original studies and present original ideas,
 
TO6: To ensure that ethical values ​​are adopted and a sense of social responsibility is gained.
 
ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE:
 
The Department of English Language and Literature adopts a student-centered approach that focuses on students' expectations throughout the education-training process and activities. The faculty members of the department strive to provide an academic environment where students can express themselves freely within the framework of respect and share their personal comments and opinions without hesitation in the light of the information they have acquired. In this context, in addition to the academic information conveyed in undergraduate program courses, it is aimed for the exchange of ideas between students and faculty members based on scientific and academic issues to be more prevalent. One of the main objectives of the department is to improve students' English speaking and understanding skills and to enable them to use the language fluently with correct pronunciation. In this context, the oral interaction of foreign students registered in both the Department of English Language and Literature and other language departments within the Faculty of Letters/School of Foreign Languages ​​with students whose native language is Turkish will make the use of foreign languages ​​continuous and permanent.
 
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSLATION AND INTERPRETATION:
 
GERMAN TRANSLATION AND INTERPRETATION UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM / PROGRAM TEACHING OBJECTIVES
 
TO-1: Providing sufficient information about the historical development process of the translation and interpretation profession in Turkey and the world,
 
TO-2: Ensuring that all stylistic levels of the source and target languages ​​are mastered and that high-level communication skills are acquired,
 
TO-3: Providing German as a foreign language at a very good level, English at a good level, and a third foreign language at a satisfactory level,
 
TO-4: Understanding the importance of cultural differences in communication and getting to know the cultures of the foreign languages ​​learned,
 
TO-5: Successful use of the dictionary, computer, artificial intelligence-supported programs, information and communication technologies in the translation process,
 
TO-6: Providing information about the legal framework of the translation profession and raising awareness about ethical rules Developing,

DEPARTMENT OF SOCIOLOGY:
The main purpose of our program is to provide students with the theoretical knowledge required for teaching sociology, who can combine it with their own social knowledge and values, and who can follow new information and approaches in their field.
