Department of Pediatric Dentistry

 

It is a branch of science that deals with the dental health of individuals during infancy, childhood and adolescence. It is a dentist who graduated from the Pediatric Dentistry (Pedodontics) department doctoral program or specialization program after a 5-year dentistry (undergraduate-master's) education.

 

The Pediatric Dentist is the first dentist that the child meets and contributes to the education and awareness of the individual regarding oral care. In the field of Pediatric Dentistry; endodontic, periodontal, preventive dentistry, prosthetic and restorative applications are performed.

 

The Department of Pediatric Dentistry was established in 2019 and is a department where educational activities, academic studies and clinical studies will be carried out. There are currently 2 Assistant Professors working in our department. In addition, specialization training is provided to students who pass the Dental Specialization Exam (DUS).
