PATIENT RIGHTS UNIT:
 
Our Patient Rights Unit has been established to inform, raise awareness and educate patients, relatives and healthcare professionals about patient rights and to ensure that patient rights practices are implemented.
 
PATIENT RIGHTS:
 
General Service Benefit:
 
The patient has the right to benefit from healthcare services in accordance with their needs within the framework of the principles of justice and fairness.
 
Information and Requesting Information:
 
The patient may request information on how to benefit from healthcare services.
 
Choosing and Changing the Healthcare Institution and Personnel:
 
The patient has the right to choose the healthcare institution and institution and to benefit from the healthcare services provided in the healthcare institution they choose. The patient has the right to choose and change the personnel who will provide them with healthcare services.
 
Privacy:
 
Respecting the patient's privacy is essential. The patient may also explicitly request that their privacy be protected. All medical interventions are carried out by respecting the patient's privacy.
 
Consent:
 
The right to refuse treatment, request its cessation, have their consent obtained for medical interventions and benefit from the service within the framework of their consent.
 
Receiving Healthcare Services in a Safe Environment:
 
All healthcare institutions and organizations must take the necessary measures to protect and ensure the safety of life and property of patients and their relatives such as visitors and companions.
 
Ability to Fulfill Religious Obligations:
 
Necessary measures are taken to ensure that patients can freely fulfill their religious obligations within the means of healthcare institutions and organizations.
 
Respect and Comfort:
 
The right to receive healthcare services in a friendly, polite, compassionate environment with respect, care and attention, where all hygienic conditions are provided and all noisy and disturbing factors are eliminated.
 
Having Visitors and Companions:
 
Depending on the approval of the physician responsible for the treatment, a companion may be requested to assist the patient during examination and treatment.
 
Right to Complain and Sue:
 
The patient and those related to the patient have all kinds of application, complaint and lawsuit rights within the framework of the legislation in case of violation of patient rights.
 
Accessing Service with Equality:
 
They have the right to receive service regardless of race, language, religion and sect, gender, political thought, philosophical belief and economic and social status.
 
PATIENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
General Responsibilities
 
Individuals should do their best to take care of their own health and follow the advice given for a healthy life.
 
If the person is suitable, they can donate blood or donate organs.
 
In simple cases, individuals should take care of themselves.
 
Social Security Status
 
The patient must report any changes in their health, social security and personal information on time.
 
The patient must have the visa of their health insurance (such as Bağ-Kur, Green Card) on time.
 
Informing Healthcare Workers
 
The patient; complaints, previous illnesses, whether or not they have received any inpatient treatment, current medications, and all information about their health should be provided completely and completely.
 
Compliance with Hospital Rules
 
The patient should comply with the rules and practices of the healthcare institution they apply to.
 
The patient should comply with the referral chain determined by the Ministry of Health and other social security institutions.
 
The patient is expected to cooperate with healthcare professionals during the treatment, care and rehabilitation process.
 
If the patient is using a healthcare facility that provides appointment service, they should comply with the appointment date and time and report any changes to the relevant authority.
 
The patient should respect the rights of hospital staff, other patients and visitors.
 
The patient must cover any damages they cause to hospital supplies.
 
Compliance with Recommendations Regarding Treatment
 
The patient should listen carefully to recommendations regarding treatment and medications and ask about any points they cannot understand.
 
If the patient cannot comply with recommendations regarding treatment, they should inform the healthcare professional.
 
The patient should; should indicate whether or not he/she understood the health care and post-discharge care plan correctly as expected.
 
The patient is responsible for the consequences of refusing the treatment to be applied or not following the recommendations.
