It deals with the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of hard tissue losses that occur in the teeth due to reasons such as caries, trauma, abrasion, etc. or present from birth, diastema (gaps between teeth) which are purely aesthetic problems, tooth discoloration, minor tooth position and structure disorders, as well as tooth sensitivity.
It applies preventive dentistry approaches to minimize the risk of caries after birth. It contributes to the literature by conducting scientific studies in these areas. As a fundamental part of the faculty of dentistry, it educates dentistry students and trains dentists who are experts in their field.
